Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Rusca Law (“we,” “us,” or “the firm”) collects, uses, and protects information when you visit rrr.law (the “Site”) or contact us. Rusca Law is a California law practice operated by Rodney Richard Rusca, SBN 256525, 5588 N. Palm Ave, Ste Q5, Fresno, CA 93704.
Information we collect
Information you give us. If you use our contact form, text or call us, email us, or book a consultation, we receive what you provide: typically your name, phone number, email address, the category of your matter, and your message. As the Site asks: please do not send details about your case until we confirm we can represent you — the first step is a conflict check, which needs only your name and the name of the person or company involved.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, the Site and its hosting provider automatically log basic technical data such as IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, and the date and time of visits. The Site uses cookies and similar technologies for basic functionality and, where enabled, analytics. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the Site will still work.
Information from third-party services. Parts of the Site rely on outside providers, which may collect information under their own privacy policies: Cal.com (consultation scheduling), Google (embedded maps and fonts), our form and website platform, and the social media platforms our pages link to. We encourage you to review those providers’ policies.
How we use information
We use the information described above to respond to inquiries, run conflict checks, provide legal services, schedule and confirm consultations, operate and secure the Site, and comply with legal and professional obligations. We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not send marketing email lists.
What we do not do
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not disclose it to third parties except: service providers who help operate the Site and our practice (bound to confidentiality), when required by law or court order, or as needed to establish or defend legal claims.
A note for prospective clients
Submitting the contact form, texting, calling, or emailing does not create an attorney-client relationship. Information a prospective client shares in good faith is handled consistent with our professional obligations, including Rule 1.18 of the California Rules of Professional Conduct. Even so, email and text messages are not perfectly secure channels — another reason to hold the details of your case until we ask for them.
Your California privacy rights
California residents may request: what personal information we have about you (access), correction of inaccurate information, and deletion of your information, subject to legal holds and our professional record-keeping obligations. We honor these requests regardless of whether a particular privacy statute technically applies to a practice of our size, and we will never treat you differently for making one. To exercise any of these rights, email rrr@ruscalaw.com or call or text 559-PIGSFLY (744-7359). We will verify your identity and respond within 45 days.
Do Not Track and opt-out signals. We do not track visitors across third-party websites, so there is nothing for a “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control signal to opt out of; we treat such signals as consistent with how the Site already operates.
Visitors from other states and countries
Residents of other U.S. states with privacy laws (such as Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, and Virginia) may exercise the same access, correction, and deletion rights described above, through the same contact points.
If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland: the Site is operated from the United States and information is processed in the United States. Our legal bases for processing are your consent (when you contact us), our legitimate interests in operating a law practice and responding to inquiries, and compliance with legal obligations. You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection, and the right to withdraw consent and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Retention
We keep inquiry information as long as needed to respond, run conflict checks, and meet our professional obligations. Client files are retained in accordance with our retention policy and California law; our standard practice is described in our fee agreement, printed at rrr.law/fees.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to a law practice. No website or transmission method is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them online. (The firm’s court-appointed work for minors happens through the courts, not through this website.)
Links to other sites
The Site links to outside websites — news articles, statutes, court opinions, social media, scheduling. Their privacy practices are their own; this policy covers only rrr.law.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the updated version here with a new effective date. Material changes will be flagged on this page.
