Fees/Philosophy – Rodney has been championing the awkward situation where you are asked to pay a large amount to him, not knowing his ability.  Alternatively, you may be experiencing your darkest hour and need a payment plan.  Payment plans are not available for persons with bad vibes.  Even if you have money, if you are mean Rodney will fire you and refund whatever retainer is not spent.  If you fire Rodney, he will happily return your retainer.   His philosophy is that he can make money by helping persons and society at the same time.  What is fair is fair, and he will tell you if you are unrealistic or undervaluing your expectations.  His fees are $350 per hour in Fresno/Madera and $400 any other county in California.  If you buying his time, he doesn’t hide it.   If the government is saying you committed a crime, he encourages his clients to watch the videos with him and talk strategy together.  Rodney considers himself more of a guide than the “normal” attorney who will tell you to blindly trust them.   Rodney has extensive work with The Courts, and they he prides himself in providing excellent services to the indigent.  Rodney feels this competent energy is rewarded by the judges siding with his clients in close call situations.  Rodney will not guarantee your success, he will predict your best outcome and effectively execute your mutual strategy.

Rusca has helped clients find their “Not Guilty” verdict in Jury Trial as well as helped them get deals without jail time.  The strategy he did not understand as a public defender was that judges reward defendants for designing their punishment.  In a majority of cases, he advises his clients to rehabilitate in advance by completing community service at hands on of central California (https://www.handsoncentralcal.org/) and going to mental health treatment in order to avoid jail and/or adult offender work program (the community service monitored by a Sheriff Deputy with a gun).  His proactive approach has led to defendants receiving more lenient sentences than he would see as a public defender when the defendant waits to be punished.
